Unveiling Nothing Phone (2) with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1: Starting at Rs 44,999! - The Ultimate Review and Specs Breakdown

Today, Nothing unveiled the highly anticipated Phone (2), a premium device that retains the aesthetic of its predecessor while introducing several under-the-hood changes and an improved design. At first glance, the phone may appear similar to Phone (1), but the new mid-frame, crafted from 100% recycled aluminum, is sleeker and slightly more curved.
In contrast to Phone (1) powered by the mid-tier Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, the recently launched device boasts a flagship-grade Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen that can dynamically adjust its refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, providing a seamless experience. This feature helps conserve battery when you’re not actively using the phone.

The phone runs Nothing OS 2.0, offering customization options like app labels, grid styles, widget sizes, and swipeable views. It also features new widgets with animations for added convenience on the lock screen.

Nothing has also made some improvements to its Glyph interface, which now allows you to set personalized light sequences for individual contacts and supports third-party apps like Uber that can display how far your ride is using the rear light. Another useful addition is the new Glyph Composer, an app that lets you create custom ringtones using the Glyph sound pack, making 8 to 10-second-long unique tones. The rear-facing LED lights can now be customized to show information such as battery level, volume level, and even work as a reverse countdown timer for added convenience.

At the back, you get a dual camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens. Nothing says the camera of the phone (2) comes with 2X Super-Res Zoom, Motion Capture 2.0 and Smart Tuning effects that aim to improve the overall image quality. The Nothing Phone (2) can now record video in 4K at 60fps using the main rear camera.

The phone features a 32MP front-facing selfie camera, 1080p and 60fps video recording, and a 4,700mAh battery with 45W charging. It can charge in 55 minutes and supports 15W wireless and 5W reverse wireless charging.
